Partition definition.

Defines a map within the mapset that was defined by DFHMSD.

Used to define a map with its characteristics in MAPSET.

DFHMDI can be multiples for the different MAPs.

Most of the important operands of DFHMDI are below.


  1. COLOR
  2. COLUMN
  3. CTRL
  4. HILIGHT
  5. JUSTIFY
  6. LINE
  7. SIZE

COLOR:

Sepcifies the color that used for the maps of the mapset.

The color value can be overridden by individual COLOR parameter.

If it ignored the default value of the output device will be used.

Valid colors are

• BLUE

• GREEN

• NEUTRAL

• PINK

• RED

• TURQUOISE

• YELLOW


COLUMN:

Specifies the starting column here for the particular MAP.

Column is a number from the left margin where the MAP needs to be displayed.


CTRL:

Specifies control actions that are to be performed when the map set displaying on screen.


	CNTL= (FREEKB, PRINT, FSET, ALARM)

Specifies the device control requests.

FREEKB is used to unlock the keyboard.

FRSET is used to reset the MDT of all the fields in all the maps to zero.

PRINT is used to send the mapset to printer.

ALARAM is specified when the alarm feature to be activated.


HILIGHT:

Specifies default highlighting attribute.

This can override HILIGHT attribute specified in DFHMSD macro.


	HILIGHT=OFF/BLINK/REVERSE/UNDERLINE

OFF is default and indicates no highlighting used.

BLINK used to specify to blink the field.

REVERSE used to specify to reverse display of the field.

UNDERLINE used to underline the field.


JUSTIFY:

Specify the map to be positioned at the bottom of the screen.

This operand applies to the SEND MAP command by providing the number of lines specified in the SIZE operand; otherwise, JUSTIFY parameter is ignored.


LINE:

Specifies the starting line here for the particular MAP.

LINE number is a value from 1 through 240.


SIZE:

Specifies the size of the map.

Has to specify two arguments namely line and column.

Line specifies depth of the map from 1 through 240.

Column specifies the width of the map from 1 through 240.

This will specifies the map size for the particular MAP.
